What's new in GrooveSheet.

  1. WeChat Pay, and a smoother road to the full song

    v1.9
    NewImprovedFixed
    • Top-ups priced in yuan can now be paid with WeChat Pay as well as by card. Subscriptions are still card only.
    • Your preview now waits for you while you sign in and pay. Pick a minute pack, sign in, check out, and the full song starts on its own.
    • Song pages, Explore and search work better on phones: the song title sits above the player, the controls fit on one row and the tabs scroll.
    • Signing in from mainland China puts email first, and the code screen tells you where the code went and to check your spam folder.
    • Fixed: finished previews no longer start downloads on their own, and a dropped file is no longer uploaded twice.
  2. A page for every part, and more of the site in Chinese

    v1.8
    NewImprovedFixed
    • Every transcribed part now has its own page, such as a song's drum score or its piano score, listing the downloads that part actually has.
    • Song pages, Help, Pricing, Explore and the stem splitter and MIDI converter pages are now in Simplified and Traditional Chinese.
    • Every upload starts with a free 10-second preview, signed in or not. Going on to the full song is a separate step that uses minutes.
    • Running out of minutes now opens a short dialog where you can buy a top-up in one click, instead of jumping to the pricing table.
    • Fixed: clicking or seeking inside the score no longer stops playback.
  3. Printable scores, library search and new ways to see a song

    v1.7
    NewImproved
    • Download any score as a printable PDF with the song title and credits, from Explore and from Your Library.
    • Explore has a full search page: filter, sort and page through every song in the library.
    • Song pages have two new views: Falling keys shows where your hands go on piano parts, and Spectrum overlays every stem's spectrogram.
    • Upload phone recordings: M4A files from iPhone Voice Memos and most Android recorders now work, and so do OGG files.
    • Got a signup code from a club or event? Its link adds free minutes to your account when you sign up.
  4. GrooveSheet in Chinese, with prices in yuan

    v1.6
    NewImprovedFixed
    • Visitors from mainland China now land on the Simplified Chinese site, and visitors from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau on the Traditional Chinese site. Choose English and it stays English.
    • Visitors in mainland China see prices in yuan, the same on every plan card and in the comparison table.
    • Explore cards show the first page of the real score, so you can see the notation before you open a song.
    • Scores now carry the song title and a transcription credit on the page.
    • Fixed: the score cursor and the drum audio now stay in step during playback.
  5. Drum transcription and a full-screen result view

    v1.5
    NewImprovedFixed
    • Drum transcription is here: choose Drums when you upload to get a drum score and MIDI, plus a drum kit view that lights up with every hit.
    • A finished piano transcription opens full screen, with the sheet music, piano roll and stems on one shared player.
    • If a transcription fails, the minutes it used go back to your account automatically.
    • Fixed: a song with no piano in it now shows a clear "no notes found" message instead of breaking the viewer.
